WISDOM OF INCARNATION: Embodied Practices for Health

A virtual community to equip Pastors/Chaplains 
for self-care and the care of others.

Opening Retreat January 24, 1pm – January 25, 3pm

In between there will be optional opportunities for small group check-in, counseling, spiritual direction and embodied practices  (had a conversation yesterday that makes me want to back off using the word YOGA!)
  • Provide a supportive and confidential community with intentional rhythm where pastors/chaplains can laugh and learn together from a variety of resources proven to be effective in increasing resilience and health.
  • Dive into the fascinating world of neurobiology and its’ influences on physical/mental/spiritual health, decision making, perspective on life, with relevance to current issues such as anti-racism, divisions, stress and individual/communal grief.  
  • Develop and integrate skills that will impact our own health as well as strategize how these tools can be used in our communities

 
During our retreats we will build skill, knowledge and community, however there will be spaciousness that will honor our health.  In between there will be optional opportunities for small group check-in, counseling, spiritual direction and restorative yoga. The program will be facilitated primarily by Rev. Sharon H. Edwards, pastor/spiritual director/yoga/meditation instructor with support from  Rev. Hillary Roethlisberger, LSWC and Angie Greenwood, MS. Cost is $150 for supplies.

Deadline to register: January 10, 2021,
with registration opening Dec. 1st for Pastors from other Presbyteries.
