What is CEE (Cascades Electronic Express)?

CEE (Cascades Electronic Express) is news, information and notices that will come to your email inbox. When you see a message with the subject line CEE (Cascades Electronic Express), you will recognize that it is a message from your Presbytery.

• We want information to reach you when you need it.
• E-mail is more efficient for staff, volunteers, committees and congregations.
• Fast and clear communication builds community and creates enthusiasm.
• Cost to the presbytery is much less than postage.
• We need to remain up-to-date to stay involved in the larger world.

What will actually change for me?

• CEE (Cascades Electronic Express) will come directly to your computer, (but you can request that a "Monthly Mailing" be mailed to you, if necessary).
• You can sign up to get our emails, and we can also email to any number of people without additional cost. Pastors, clerks, treasurers, elders and church members can get information directly and quickly.
• To be on the Presbytery Email List, you must sign up - on the website, www.cascadespresbytery.org - or phone the Portland office, (503) 227 5486
  or 1(800) 495 4114 to start or stop the service when YOU want to.
• More resources will be available on the website and in emails.
• Information will be available about events, workshops, speakers, news and announcements online without delay.
• If you print out a document and misplace it, you can still find it on the website.

I'm not sure that I'm really comfortable with email. Is there a way to make this easy?

• Yes. All the emails will have "CEE (Cascades Electronic Express)" at the beginning of the subject line so you can identify them at a glance or easily sort them automatically.

How will I know when something new is available on the website?

• CEE emails will have links to new information on the website. Information will be more timely than ever before. And…the Presbytery website may be chosen as your home page on your computer.

How will I get forms and applications I need from the Presbytery office?

• There will be an updated collection of forms, applications, brochures, and resource material available to you on the website. You won't have to call the Presbytery office and wait for forms to be mailed to you.

Will I still have the Omnibus Presbytery newsletter mailed to me?

• Yes, Omnibus will still be mailed to the large mailing list. In addition, Omnibus is now available on our presbytery website. It is easy to read on your computer monitor and can be viewed at any size desired.

What if I didn't get all my questions answered?

• Every one will have questions because we are doing something new.  Please email your technical questions to the webmaster. Questions about events can be directed to your regional office or the registrar for the particular event.
• These FAQs are sure to be added to and edited as we discover how best to work in this new way. Your questions will help staff to serve you better.
