About Us…..

The Mission of our church
is to advance the kingdom of God
by living the teachings of Jesus Christ
through our leadership, fellowship and outreach.

Presbyterians are first and foremost, Christians. We believe in one God whose plans for us are revealed in the Holy Bible and especially through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus established the church to be a community of believers, a family, to encourage each other in unity and to project His love to the world. As a church family, our goal is to love and support each other without conditions or expectations. We confess we are unable, on our own, to always practice the unconditional love demonstrated by our Father, but we pray and desire that He empowers us to demonstrate His love to you and those around us.

Our History
This church has existed at 75 S. 4th and "C" Streets in Creswell for 100 years! In February 2006, we began a year-long birthday celebration! Our Pastor, Norman Few, has been the Pastor here for almost 50 years. We are well established and traditional, but eager to grow and meet the needs of our members and the community. You will find great fellowship in this church as we strive to honor and serve God together.

Our Congregation
Our congregation is comprised of approximately 170 families, which includes couples, families with children, singles and youth. We draw members mainly from Creswell, but also from Cottage Grove, Eugene and Springfield. To inform everyone about the events and the people of our church, a monthly newsletter (in addition to our website) is available. Please call 895-3419 to be added to our mailing list.

Session
Creswell Presbyterian Church has a Session (Governing Board of Elders) consisting of 12 men and women and our Pastor (who serves as a moderator). There is also a non-voting Clerk of Session. Elders are elected by the congregation for three-year terms and may hold two consecutive terms. Session meets monthly and has several committees such as Fellowship, Care and Outreach, Music and Worship, Christian Education, Scholarship, Finance and Property, which also meet regularly as committees. One does not have to be a member of Session to be a member of a committee. If you are interested in being a part of one of these groups, check the bulletin board in the Sanctuary for names and phone numbers of contact persons for each committee. Your help and participation is encouraged.
